نوول کورونا وائرس کی وبا کے نتیجے میں رواں سال کی دوسری سہ ماہی کے دوران اسمارٹ فون مارکیٹ کو اپنی تاریخ کی سب سے بڑی کمی کا سامنا ہوا ہے۔اسمارٹ فون مارکیٹ ریسرچر گارٹنر کی جانب سے جاری اعدادوشمار کے مطابق اپریل سے جون کے دوران اسمارٹ فون کی فروخت میں گزشتہ سال کے اسی عرصے کے مقابلے میں 20.4 فیصد کمی آئی۔
گارٹنر نے ہی مئی میں اپنی ایک اور رپورٹ میں بتایا تھا کہ جنوری سے مارچ کے دوران اسمارٹ فونز کی فروخت میں گزشتہ سال کے اسی عرصے کے مقابلے میں 20.2 فیصد کمی دیکھنے میں آئی تھی۔نئی رپورٹ کے مطابق دنیا بھر میں
کووڈ 19 کے نتیجے میں لاک ڈاؤنز اور معاشی سست روی کے نتیجے میں لوگوں کی اسمارٹ فونز میں دلچسپی میں مزید کمی آئی ہے
رواں سال کی دوسری سہ ماہی کے دوران سب سے زیادہ بڑا جھٹکا سام سنگ کو لگا جس کے فونز کی فروخت میں گزشتہ سال کے اسی عرصے کے مقابلے میں 27.1 فیصد کمی آئی۔
ہواوے کے فونز کی فروخت میں اپریل سے جون کے دوران 6.8 فیصد کمی آئی، جو کہ بہتر کارکردگی ہے کیونکہ پہلی سہ ماہی کے مقابلے میں دوسری سہ ماہی کے دوران چینی کمپنی کا مارکیٹ شیئر 14.2 فیصد سے بڑھ کر 18.4 فیصد ہوگیا۔
ایپل سرفہرست کمپنیوں میں تیسرے نمبر پر ہے جس کے آئی فونز کی فروخت میں اس سہ ماہی کے دوران گزشتہ سال کے اس عرصے کے مقابلے میں صرف 0.4 فیصد کمی دیکھنے میں آئی۔
اپریل سے جون کے دوران چین میں اسمارٹ فونز کی فروخت میں گزشتہ سال کے اسی عرصے کے مقابلے میں 7 فیصد کمی ہوئی جبکہ بھارت میں یہ شرح 46 فیصد ریکارڈ ہوئی۔
شیاؤمی 8.9 فیصد شیئر کے ساتھ چوتھے نمبر پر رہی جسے دوسری سہ ماہی کے دوران 21.5 فیصد کمی کا سامنا ہوا ، حالانکہ رواں سال کی پہلی سہ ماہی کے دوران شیاؤمی واحد کمپنی تھی جس کے فونز کی فروخت میں 1.4 فیصد بہتری آئی تھی۔
اوپو کو دوسری سہ ماہی کے دوران 15.9 فیصد کمی کا سامنا ہوا مگر 8 فیصد مارکیٹ شیئر کے ساتھ وہ 5 سرفہرست کمپنیوں میں شامل ہے
