سال 2018 میں الرٹ سامنے آنے کے بعد حکام نے درخواستوں کا بغور جائزہ لینا شروع کیا۔وزارت انصاف کے اعدادوشمار کے مطابق سال 2020 تک 20 ہزار 98 درخواستیں موصول ہوئیں جن میں سے صرف ایک درخواست مسترد کی گئی۔ تاہم سال 2021 میں 15 ہزار 274 درخواستیں منظور جبکہ 3ہزار 19 کو مسترد کیاگیا۔
ہسپانوی شہریت کے لئے سیفرڈک درخواست جمع کروانے کی آخری تاریخ 30ستمبر 2019 تھی تاہم کورونا وائرس کے باعث اضافی وقت مہیاکیاگیا۔مجموعی طور پر جب سے قانون منظور ہواہے 63ہزار 8 سو 73 درخواستیں موصول ہوئی جن میں سے 36 ہزار 168 کو منظورکیاگیا۔ متعدد یہودی تنظمیوں کی جانب سے درخواستیں مسترد ہونے پر احتجاج بھی کیاگیاہے۔
